This is a super account. How very special to have been able to make this memorable trip, and to have actually completed it! Bravo and Hooray! Sounds like it takes a village to climb a mountain. I love the image of thick, juicy air in your lungs.
You look so bundled up, and so determined, in your snow suits.
All of this a great metaphor for living our everyday lives.

Indeed, in our case it did take a village to climb a mountain! We were all a little embarrassed about how much support we needed for our climb. In the end, we helped ourselves feel not so guilty knowing that we were providing good employment for several young men. Thanks so much for leaving a comment! Bravo and Hooray for your courage! Janet,
What a great insight you have provided into the joys and challenges of your trip.
You are a very interesting writer! It must have been very special to bond with the other memebers of the group. I am glad you had the ability to deal with your personal challenging spots so that you could do this. It is a good life lesson for us who can read about it too.
Hugs,
Dani

Dani- Yes, I am so grateful that I was able to deal with the challenges of the trip as they arose. Although it is never the reason that we desire to travel to exotic places, when adversity arises in these situations, and we are able to deal with it, we inevitably grow. For better or worse, I think it is good to be reminded of what our growing edges are. In fact, I believe it's why we are all here on the planet, to grow ourselves!
